Melinda Souza

Melinda Keaolani Souza, 69, of Haleiwa, Oahu, died Feb. 4, 2013, at Pohai Malama. Born July 31, 1943, in Honolulu, she was a warehouse supervisor for IGA Supermarket in Haleiwa, Oahu, and member of the Hawaiian Civic Club.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Liliuokalani Protestant Church for a 10:30 a.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by spouse, Ronald Souza of Waialua, Oahu; daughters, Marlene (James) Abrigo of Wahiawa, Oahu, Maylene (Richard) Kamakea of Waialua, Oahu, Melanie (George) Hatchie of Haleiwa, Oahu; sons, Russel (Karen) Souza of Kapolei,Oahu, Ryan (Christina) Souza of Hawaii Kai, Oahu; brothers, Julian (Bernice) Aki of Kahului, Maui, Kalani (Suzanne) Aki and Harmon (Raene) Aki, both of Glenwood, Harvey (Vicky) Aki of Pearl City, Oahu, Hilton (Adriana) Aki of Roseburg, Ore., Hunter (Lynne) Aki of Corona, Calif.; sisters, Lani Schreiber of Makakilo, Oahu, Luana (Bob) Peterson of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
